WINE 9.19 improves positioning in the Wayland driver and introduces just under 300 changes

WINE 9.19

As every two weeks, something that will change in a couple of months, when they start releasing Release Candidates, WineHQ delivered to us yesterday another development version of Wine Is Not an Emulator. This time they have given us WINE 9.19, a release where the numbers are still within the average, but on the downside. This may be because there are fewer bugs to fix, which would mean that the software is reaching maturity.

In total, there have been 264 changes, with a list of 11 bug fixes, also fewer than usual. As for highlights, WINE 9.19 includes updates to the character tables to Unicode 16.0.0, better window positioning in the Wayland driver, more support for network sessions in DirectPlay and support for plug&play device change notifications, plus the usual smattering of bug fixes.
