We will still have to wait a little longer for the stable version. A few hours ago, WineHQ launched WINE 10.0-rc6, the sixth Release Candidate of the next stable version. This release is already one more than we saw a year ago, so the final delivery could be just seven days away. We won't say it too loudly, because this is something we also let slip in the past week and it has not been fulfilled.
But let's get to the present and what we have in hand. The release notes for WINE 10.0-rc6 only contain the sentence that reminds us that bugs have been fixed because we are in the code freeze, but this time they also advance that "This is expected to be the last release candidate before the final 10.0«. So it's something that's not just us saying anymore. Among other new things, 18 bugs have been fixed from the following list and made 15 changes.

- Missing graphics in C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge.
- The US Naval Observatory's MICA2 software has an annoying error message when closing.
- Microsoft Office XP 2002 installer displays “Error 25504. Failed to set Feature xyz to the install state of Feature xyz for mode 2.” message boxes since Wine 2.12.
- Medium crashes when starting a new game.
- user32:msg – test_swp_paint_regions() fails on Windows 7.
- Boulder Remake does not recognize arrow keys (other keys work).
- The Wingdings font appears to be missing; regression testing performed.
- wineboot fails at create_bios_processor_values() on Mac Pro 2013.
- Harmony Assistant 9.9.8d (64-bit) reports missing stoccata.ttf font on startup.
- Micrografx Window Draw 4.0a crashes when backtracking while editing a freeform text object.
- File upload in Hotline Client 1.2.3 hangs after about 200KB.
- Rebuild 3: Broken texture filtering.
- Deformed symbols in LTSpice.
- No windows are displayed when using a dual monitor setup.
- fallout 3 radio broke with gstreamer 1.24.10 (9.22 silent, 10rc4 stuck).
- Some windows have the bottom and right sides cut off.
- Null pointer dereference in traces.
- Port Royale 2: Black screen during intro videos.
