
WineHQ continues to put the final shape to the next stable version of Wine IS Not an Emulator. The release notes, that is, in the list of highlights, still do not show anything special, and in that section you can only read "Bug fixes only, we are in code freeze«. It is known that they have carried out a total of 40 changes, which includes 15 bugs. Among them is one that was closed this week, but was reported back in February 2008. The bug in question caused dual to be incompatible with World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 on multicore/SMP systems.
Bugs fixed in WINE 10.0-rc3
- Dual-core not supported in WoW and SC2.
- Chaos Legion videos play backwards.
- There is no keyboard input in “STREET CHAVES – O LUTADOR DA VILA”.
- Parallel Port Tester does not start (does not locate driver «System32\Drivers\inpoutx64.sys», but changing to absolute path works).
- Bricks: Moving a brick quickly changes its position.
- Starting a native program with “start /unix …” does not work.
- Explorer cannot run any files in compatibility mode with Windows ME (or lower).
- Startopia gets stuck on a black screen when starting.
- IL-2 1946 crashes on startup.
- Dark Age of Camelot – camelot.exe requires igd10umd32.dll but the .dll file is missing.
- Painting in a proprietary app breaks with the vulkan renderer.
- Desktop mode no longer shows the taskbar.
- PokerTracker 4: Cannot be launched anymore.
- Systray icons cannot be interacted with.
- CMake does not find toolchain.
