Last June, the company that creates one of the most famous single-board computers in the world launched the Raspberry Pi 4. This is a significant upgrade that includes, among other things, 4K support and a 4GB RAM option, but at the cost of requiring a cooling fan to prevent overheating. Shortly after the board's release, the company launched a new version of its operating system, but it did so with some bugs that are expected to have been fixed in Raspbian 2019-09-26.
The new version of Raspbian improves support for the Raspberry Pi 4, but also includes other enhancements such as an rpi-eeprom tool that will automatically update the SPI EEPROM to the latest version on the newest board in the Raspberry Pi family. It also adds support for overscan (a term familiar to those of us who own one of these small boards) for the FKMS driver. In previous versions, it's worth disabling this option in raspi-config.
