Although smart watches have been around for a long time, they are still struggling to convince the vast majority of users. I have had one for three years, but I have it because I took advantage of an opportunity that did not force me to pay out everything that was worth, and yes, they are very good, but I think we are talking about devices that are often to accompany a smartphone and they have a high price. Yes there are some much cheaper, but none like the PineTime what are you preparing PINE64.
Some time ago they let me try a smartwatch "from the Chinese." The only thing that helped me was to know that a smart watch makes everything more comfortable, that and that it is worth having a more expensive one or we will have the feeling of wearing a toy on our wrist. In addition, its price, in constant promotion, is around € 50. The PineTime reminds us a bit of the Pebble: a perfect watch to accompany the pinephone for a ridiculous price of $ 25, half of what some "of the Chinese" are worth.
PineTime, the perfect companion for your Linux phone
But calm down: we are talking about a project. One that, considering that they will soon start selling the PinePhone, we can think that it will go ahead to accompany the company's Linux phone.
This is the #PineTime (actual photo) - a #Linux smartphone companion and a side-project of ours. are you a @real_FreeRTOS or @ArmMbed developer with an interest in smartwatches? - let us know. pic.twitter.com/j7ygDWNqbD

What is known at the moment of the PineTime, whose header photo is real, is:
- It will come with a charging dock, which means it will charge by induction.
- It will include a 20mm Milanese strap.
- It will be made of zinc alloy and plastic.
- Pulsometer.
- Battery that will last several days.
- Price: $ 25.
Without more details than the previous ones, we can think that the PineTime will be similar to the smart watches that use Tizen, saving the distances especially in terms of hardware. It will be a basic smartwatch With which we can see the time, the notifications of our phone, perform physical activity, probably install more applications, and all this for a price of $ 25. It does not sound bad at all, but we will still have to wait months or even a couple of years to know all the details.
Well, the characteristics seem good for this team, and well, I would like to try it in all terrain if you leave me before
Another project that later we will never know anything again haha
If Pine64 finishes its projects, they sell several pieces of hardware, clusters, single board computers, the pinephone (in preorder for developers), the pinebooks, among others ... Without a doubt we will see the pinetime soon
