Nvidia updates its graphics for Linux

NVIDIA bug

A few hours ago, the latest version of Nvidia's Linux drivers was released , specifically version 384.59. These drivers are also compatible with FreeBSD and Solaris. This new version includes significant improvements designed to further enhance the gaming experience for Linux users.

The most notable new feature is the addition of compatibility for some Nvidia graphics cards , which previously did not work on Linux. The two cards added are the GT 1030 and the MX150, which can now function correctly on Linux.

The other new features involve fixing bugs and errors found in previous versions. For example, they've fixed a bug that caused the computer to suspend when two or more cards were connected in an SLI system, a bug related to the Vulkan API, a bug related to a graphics error when running OpenGL, and some improvements to persistent mode.

As usual, all drivers have been updated to the latest version , so if you have an Nvidia graphics card, it is urgent that you update your drivers to the latest available version, so that you can be up to date and safe from all the vulnerabilities and bugs detected in previous versions.

This undoubtedly proves that gaming on Linux has changed forever . Long gone are the days when Linux couldn't support almost any graphics card for decent gaming and when the Steam catalog was meager. Today, we have a more than respectable Steam catalog, with games like Shadow of Mordor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the upcoming XCOM 2.

Nvidia drivers version 384.59 are already available in most repositories of your favorite Linux distribution , and if they aren't, they will be very soon. So update to the latest version to continue enjoying the best games for Linux.
