Just when some were wondering when a new stable version would be released, it's here. Manjaro 2022-04-15 is now available , and the packages have arrived on existing installations before they've appeared on the project forum. This isn't entirely surprising, as it's common practice to release the software first and then announce it, but the Manjaro team usually does both almost simultaneously. In any case, the packages have been available since shortly before 13 PM in Spain.
With each new stable release, many packages are updated, but, as is almost always the case, KDE users have been hit with a few glitches. To begin with, the desktop environment has been updated to Plasma 5.24.4 , the latest version available, and Frameworks 5.92 is also available. It was assumed that with this update, Dolphin could finally be used as root without any workarounds , but that's not the case. Although KDE has its own philosophy, and whenever possible, it won't work with the `sudo dolphin` command ; instead, we can try to perform any action, and it will prompt us for the password to make the changes, just like Kate already does.

- GStreamer is now at 1.20.1.
- PipeWire is now at 0.3.49.
- Wine has been revamped to 7.5.
- Even more Python and Haskell packages have arrived.
Manjaro 2022-04-15 is the latest stable update of the operating system, and the new packages are now available from Pamac or by opening a terminal and typing `sudo pacman -Syu` . At the time of writing, the latest ISO is Manjaro 21.2.5.
