Desperados III is a video game from Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic that is set in the Wild West. It is currently available natively for Windows, but it has now been confirmed that it is being developed for Linux and macOS as well. Great news that has been confirmed from the official THQ Nordic account on Twitter.
In the tweet you could read that content updates would arrive for July or August and «Also, there will be an update this summer, adding support for Mac and Linux«. Good news for those who like this type of video game and use the penguin platform. In fact, if we look at the great work they did in Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, it will surely be wonderful in the case of Desperados III as well.
By the way, it seems that Feral Interactive it's a bit off lately, not bringing ports to Linux like it used to… why is that? Well, in the absence of this, good news is this.
As for the the characteristics of the video game, if you don't know it yet, they are:
- You can play with five unique characters, with its abilities and peculiarities. Something like Commandos, in fact, it looks a lot like that video game, only gunmen.
- You can choose freely various ways to overcome obstacles.
- Fight with large groups of enemies in a planned and careful way.
- Un endless Wild West scenery, with border towns typical of this era, mysterious swamps, railway stations, sprawling cities, and more.

- With several difficulties and challenges.
- Showdown mode that allows you to use the pause at any time and react to ambushes or surprise attacks.
