WINE 11.3 arrives with Mono 11.0 and more than 200 changes

Bugs fixed in WINE 11.3

  • 42Tags (.NET app) does not start (System.Globalization.CultureNotFoundException: Culture ID 0 (0x0000) is not a supported culture.).
  • Processes may terminate with an incorrect exit code due to a race condition when threads are terminated during shutdown.
  • Several applications (Vavoo Webinstaller, Kodi) fail with the Windows version set to Win7: wmic.exe needs support for the "/?" switch.
  • The zools backup tool cannot be run in Wine.
  • ExtractNow: the buttons do nothing / do not work (requires comctl32 version 6).
  • The War Thunder launcher doesn't render anything, it just repeats stub messages from d2d_geometry_sink_AddArc.
  • zdaemon: the program freezes if the keyboard and mouse are used at the same time.
  • Adobe Audition 2020 crashes on startup, displaying 'Direct2D Drawbot error' (d2d_device_context_Flush is a stub).
  • fusion:asmcache – 32-bit calls to InstallAssembly(…, NULL) are blocked in Windows 11.
  • fusion:asmenum – test_enumerate() fails on Windows 11.
  • Winscard tests do not run in the GitLab CI.
  • msys2-64/cygwin64: rsync fails with 'Socket operation on non-socket'.
  • D2D1GeometrySink::AddArc() does not correctly mark the end of the figure segment.
  • Many games handle focus poorly when returning with Alt+Tab, without UseTakeFocus=N.
  • Rainmeter 4.5.23 crashes on X11 after updating the default Clock.ini skin.
  • doaxvv (DMM) occasionally crashes (WMV playback error).
  • QuarkXPress 2024 crashes on startup with "System.InvalidOperationException: The calling thread must be STA".
  • winhlp / winhelp32: Selecting "Edit > Copy" in the Westwood Monopoly (1995) help file results in a crash.
  • Flight Simulator 2000 exhibits flickering and performance issues when rendering the 3D world with a 2D instrument panel in windowed mode.
  • The RTF clipboard reads a randomly chosen string (regression from Wine 10).
  • Sysinternals TCPView is blocked by the unimplemented function IPHLPAPI.DLL.GetOwnerModuleFromTcpEntry.
  • Guild Wars 2 crashes with Wine 11.1 and Winewayland enabled along with DXVK development builds (after January 23).
  • Gdiplus LockBits() with flags=0 has a different behavior than the Microsoft implementation.
  • Regression: Wine becomes completely unusable in the presence of non-graphical GL devices from version 11.1 onwards.
  • Parameter validation is missing in the printf() function family.
  • Framemaker 8 is crashing due to a patch in sysparams.c.
  • Unable to open a certain PNG image, 'copypixels_to_24bppBGR conversion path not implemented'.
  • Possible off-by-one bug in swapchain.c.
  • The iWin Games Manager V4 installer fails to create services.
  • The Amazon Chime 5.23 installer fails.
