Valve releases SteamOS 3.7.10 beta, and among other things, it's supposed to fix the Wi-Fi bug.

WiFi on SteamOS 3.7.8

A few weeks ago, Valve released version 3.7.8 of its operating system with many new features. The downside is that it came with a regression that causes Wi-Fi to not work as expected. There are solutions, but the official patch was expected. Well, that patch has arrived en Steam OS 3.7.10, which is currently in the beta channel. Or so it seems, based on the first item on the list of new features.

Among the changes, we find "Fixed a WiFi regression with the Steam Deck OLED", and since I don't have the LCD I can't say for sure if the bug also affected owners of the first version of the handheld from Valve. I also won't be able to confirm how well the patch works when it reaches the stable version, since I recently updated the firmware on the router I use to connect to it and the problem disappeared.
