Ubuntu now has 11 official flavors. Previously, it was "only" 8, but the count rose to the current number after the inclusion of Ubuntu Cinnamon, the return of Edubuntu, and the resurrection of Ubuntu Unity. All three, like MATE and Budgie before them, were labeled Remix, meaning they were meant to join the family. Right now, and with permission from a more than idle UbuntuDDE, the only Remix still going is Sway, which launched a couple of weeks ago. Ubuntu Sway 25.04.
We didn't publish it earlier due to an oversight, to be honest. Since they don't publish on social media, we didn't notice in time, something that won't happen again because I've subscribed to their releases in my Vivaldi browser. Ubuntu Sway 25.04 is the latest. version based on Plucky Puffin, which arrived in mid-April. Therefore, this iteration has arrived a month and a half late, which is no small feat considering they want to be an official release.
