
The Debian Project has made available Debian 13.2, a maintenance update to the stable branch that arrives to polish the "Trixie" cycle with multiple security patches and general fixes. Those already using Debian 13 can update with the usual tools, while those installing from scratch will have access to a fresh installation.
This is the second service point of this series, with a remarkable balance: 55 security patches y 123 bug fixes in various packages. The new installation images avoid massive downloads after the first boot, which is especially useful in deployments in European companies and public administrations.

The installation images have been updated and are the recommended method if you're deploying the system on new hardware or if you had problems with previous ISOs. Live images and desktops
Live images are also released for 64-bit systems with several pre-installed desktop environments: KDE Plasma 6.3.6, GNOME 48, Xfce 4.20, Cinnamon 6.4.10LXQt 2.1, MATE 1.26.1 and LXDE 0.11.1. In addition, there is a "Junior" edition with IceWM and a "Standard» without a graphical environment, useful for servers or minimal installations.
How to upgrade if you are already using Debian 13 "Trixie"
If you're already on Debian 13, simply refresh the repositories and apply the full update: run sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade from a terminal or use a graphical manager like Synaptic. It is not necessary Download new ISOs; to check the installed version, you can use cat /etc/debian_version.
